A Wedding at Christmas | Tor & Lee

Back in December, I shot Tor & Lee’s Christmas wedding. We started the day with prep before moving on to St James’ Church Audley and then consequently moving back to the Hall for the party.

Tor & Lee got in touch in early 2017 to book. As soon as I heard “Christmas Wedding” I was sold. They both love the holiday and were keen to bring a little extra winter spice to their friends and family’s lives over the festive period. The fantastic feature for a Christmas wedding is your venue will usually go overboard with their own Christmas wedding decorations. In theory you get your venue dressed for free in a unique way.

As I explain all the time from November to March you really do have your wedding day start to be disrupted by ever looming early dark skies. We came out of the church around 14:30 and the sun was already flying down. We managed to squeeze so much in before it disappeared entirely. We managed to get confetti, group shots and small saunter round th grounds. The air was crisp and fresh, a perfect winters day.

My posing is almost non existent. I very subtly guide my couples into positions and we just talk, laugh and make silly faces. I find your personality comes out so much more when you’re not posing. I love all of these photographs. I felt as though Tor, Lee and I were all on the same page and we just had so much fun. Take a look at the photograph of them sitting on the steps.
