Weston Hall Wedding Photographer

Updated 2022

Within just a short car journey from my home in Stoke-on-Trent, the almost 500 year old Weston Hall dower house is a dream wedding venue in Staffordshire. Having photographed here many times over the year I can say for sure that this is a superb venue to host your big day

Myself and Cera have attended The Cellar restaurant many of times in the past. I always seem to find great wedding day food when wedding venues like Weston Hall offer an independent dining option alongside their wedding days. The Cellar Restaurant at Weston Hall is just that. A superb delicious food experience wrapped up into the cosy surroundings of the basement of Weston Hall. With its cosy open stone fireplaces, its famous traditional Afternoon Tea and Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea its a dining experience not to be missed. There are also other local wedding venues locally which operate independent dining away from their wedding days. Moddershall Oaks does just that so be sure to check out the words I wrote about this other awesome local wedding venue.

Multiple Weddings from Weston Hall

Living on the doorstep of Weston Hall means I’m a favourite when couples are searching for a wedding photographer. These country house weddings are always fun and the expert team at Weston Hall know just how to run a relaxed wedding which doesn’t miss a beat.

My style of wedding photography is built on a great relationship with my couples. All of my weddings are different and unique; even those at the same venue like Weston Hall. The time on your wedding day is really important to me. So if I can help it I don’t really want you to miss a thing on your wedding day and would love you to remember as much as possible. This caring and relaxed approach to my wedding photography is the reason why so many couples recommend me. They always say it feels like a friend is taking their photographs and not a photographer.

Elizabethan Grandeur Mixed With Modern Elegant Decor

Located on Weston Bank just down the road from Stafford, Stone and the heart of the Potteries, Stoke-on-Trent, Weston Hall is well placed for great travel links but also makes you feel you’re all alone as you sit surrounding by aches of stunning Staffordshire countryside. Meaning you can have a secluded countryside Manor House wedding whilst also not being too far from civilisation.

With Weston Hall registered as a Grade II listed building you can’t help but feel surrounded by history as you grace the large stone steps to the entrance. Often a wedding venue being listed encourages the owners to keep it in its original character which would produce lovely traditional vibes. Weston Hall mixes the best of both worlds with a beautiful Elizabethan exterior and a more elegant modern decor inside. Retaining many original features inside alongside the elegant modern decor it keeps those lofty feelings of grandeur whilst being approachable for even the most modern of brides and/or grooms.

The four high pitched roofs make this venue a real landmark to the local surroundings and you won’t fail to be surprised when you drive up Weston Bank and see it sitting majestically. Constantly being renovated and kept to a high standard the grounds and exterior/interior of Weston Hall never fail to impress me.

A Wedding Day at Weston Hall

Every time I get asked to be a Weston Hall wedding photographer I rejoice. I’ve photographed at this wedding venue countless times over the years and have always had amazing days here. Often followed on from a traditional church service guests arrive to a drinks reception either hosted up in The Shrewsbury Suite or out on The Terrace taking in the breathtaking Staffordshire Scenery.

Shortly after the drinks reception guests are invited into The Westminster Suite to dine in style below many a gorgeous chandelier. Moving on into the evening minimal disruption is needed to convert the venue into a happening dance floor and party atmosphere. With The Westminster Suite broken up into several internal rooms you can either dance the night away, chat with old friends or spend time with your more delicate wedding guests in the bars comfy seating area.

From Spring 2020 you’ll also be able to say your vows and exchange your rings on The Terrace in their new outdoor wedding ceremony area. Should the weather turn at last minute then the venue staff can change your wedding service location within minutes to host it within The Conservatory or The Shrewsbury Suite. Another way the team at Weston Hall try and do everything within their power to ensure you have a magical day.

There’s no perfect time of year to get married at Weston Hall. It’s a rare wedding venue which offers a great wedding day no matter what time of year it is. I’ve photographed weddings at Weston Hall in the pouring Winter rain and the glistening Summer sun. I never fail to get unique and beautiful wedding photographs for my couples.Wes

Weston Hall is also one of few local venues to offer stunning onsite accommodation for you and your wedding guests. With 8 bedrooms and a honeymoon suite all located on the top floor alls you have to do is climb a few stairs to unwind on your wedding evening. Upon awakening amongst the calming sounds of the countryside you can head down to The Cellar for breakfast. Should you have more guests though there is always great nearby accommodation at The Dog and Doublet.

Photographing Amongst History

Photographing weddings at Weston Hall is always a super stress free experience. There’s definitely such a thing as too much indoor and outdoor space when it comes to a wedding venue. Acres upon acres of outdoor space may seem incredible and you may plan loads of awesome photographs but just navigating this space on your wedding day can take up valuable time which takes you away from your guests on the best day of your lives.

Weston Hall has a modest outdoor space which you can saunter around within a few minutes whilst using several different and unique backdrops for your wedding portraits. The indoor space also offers a great not too big socialising space and with it split on to two floors you can really take advantage of the extra space should you need to plan your family portraits and group photographs indoors.

Weston Hall’s elegant modern decor presents so many non-distracting backdrops for natural moments throughout the day. Mixed with interesting lighting and a lot of glass and mirrored surfaces I can’t cease to be in my creative element when creating timeless memories for your wedding day.

The Westminster Suite features gorgeous chandeliers on a dimmer set which can change the ambience of the room in a heartbeat transforming a brightly lit wedding breakfast where your guests can see their beautiful meals and talk to each other into an “candle lit” laid back vibe for the speeches to unfold within. I love taking pictures in The Westminster Suite for this very reason. Pre-Meal candids and the arrival of the bride and groom look incredibly different to that of the speeches and the evening reception. Almost making it look like there are more than one room for the day and the reception.
