Quarter at Potbank Wedding Photography
A Boutique Industrial Wedding Venue
There’s something special about a wedding venue which is not just a wedding venue but an industrial heritage site to the city’s past. Stoke-on-Trent aka The Potteries has long had a strong tie with it’s artistic past as the worlds number 1 pottery producer. With a lot of disused sites now in Stoke-on-Trent, it’s amazing to use a lot of them as alternative venues for other new magical moments.
Planning your special day at Quarter at Potbank
The Quarter at Potbank is such a beautiful place which I have photographed so many times. I love returning time and time again so why not drop me message and find out a little more?

Behind the Scenes at The Quarter at Potbank
Through the magic of a 360 camera, I’m able to capture behind-the-scenes content on my wedding days to show my current and future couples exactly what it would like for them to have me along at their Quarter at Potbank wedding day
All of these videos and more are captured in the most subtle way making sure to not disrupt the wedding day at all. I feel the connection between a couple and their photographer is a really important factor hence why I wanted to show this part of my work as well. I’m not like every wedding photographer and showing you these behind-the-scenes videos from The Quarter at Potbank hopefully helps me to reinforce that statement.

If you are still looking at wedding photographers’ websites and have come to Adam’s website, look no further, you’ve found your photographer!
From our initial meeting with Adam right the way through to our wedding he was approachable, helpful and always happy to offer advice when we weren’t sure about things. We initially met over Zoom and after spending 2 hours chatting we knew he was the best person for the job. Closer to the wedding he came over to our house and we discussed the photos we wanted and the logistics of the day
We couldn’t be more pleased with our photographs, they completely encapsulated the joy of the day.

The History of The Quarter at Potbank
The Quarter at Potbank is one of those venues that blends modern creativity with deep local history, and that’s exactly what makes it such a brilliant place for a wedding. Sitting on the old Spode site in Stoke-on-Trent, it’s surrounded by the industrial heritage that shaped The Potteries. You can still feel the echoes of the city’s pottery past everywhere you look — from the red brick buildings to the old kilns and factories that once produced world-famous ceramics.
The venue itself is part of the huge redevelopment of the Spode Works, an iconic site that was once a powerhouse of the ceramics industry. Walking through the area, you get this mix of artistic energy and industrial nostalgia — the perfect combination for couples who want a wedding with character and a real sense of place.
Before relocating here, The Quarter was originally a well-loved restaurant and live music venue in Hanley city centre. Moving to Potbank gave it a new home with even more soul. The owners kept the same warm, creative atmosphere but placed it right in the heart of Stoke’s pottery history. Now it’s become one of the city’s most unique spaces for weddings — a venue that celebrates where Stoke has come from and where it’s going.
Weddings at The Quarter at Potbank
Weddings at The Quarter at Potbank are relaxed, stylish and full of personality. It’s the perfect spot for couples who want something a little different from the traditional hotel or country house setting. The venue still feels like a working, breathing creative space — full of exposed brick, industrial textures and the buzz of the Spode site just outside the doors.
The ceremony room is cosy, intimate and full of that trademark Quarter charm. Think warm lighting, eclectic decor, artwork, and a backdrop with real character. It’s ideal for smaller weddings and couples who want an atmosphere that feels authentic and personal rather than overly formal.
After the ceremony, you’ll step into spaces that are perfect for drinks, music and mingling. The Quarter’s team always bring the same relaxed, friendly approach they’re known for, making the whole day feel effortless and welcoming. Their food is a huge highlight too — creative, generous and full of flavour, just as you’d expect from a place with such a strong reputation in Stoke’s dining scene.
What’s brilliant about weddings here is how naturally the day flows. It’s the kind of venue where your guests instantly feel comfortable, where the music matters as much as the food, and where the setting becomes part of the story. And all around you, the Spode Works sits as a reminder of the city’s heritage, giving every part of the day a sense of identity.
Photographing Amongst Pottery Heritage
I absolutely love photographing weddings at The Quarter at Potbank because the setting offers something completely unique. The mix of industrial backdrops, textured walls, narrow brick alleys, pottery heritage and creative details gives me so much to work with. There’s nowhere else in Staffordshire quite like it.
Inside, the warm lighting and intimate atmosphere translate beautifully into photographs. The decor creates a cosy, artistic setting for candid moments — perfect for capturing the real emotion and energy of the day. Outside, the old Spode Works is a photographer’s dream. The faded paintwork, tall factory walls, historical signage and pottery remnants all make for atmospheric portraits with a raw, urban edge.
What I enjoy most is taking couples around the site for a short wander after the ceremony — finding pockets of light, interesting textures and those little details that tell the story of Stoke’s industrial past. It gives your photos a sense of place and identity that you just don’t get at more traditional wedding venues.
If you’re planning your wedding at The Quarter at Potbank and want photography that reflects the creativity, heritage and relaxed vibe of the venue, I’d love to be there with you. This part of Stoke is packed with character, and every wedding I’ve captured here has been full of personality, warmth and the unique spirit of The Potteries.

No matter your race, colour, creed, or sexuality, you are everything to me. I wouldn’t live this incredible photography dream job without you. I can’t help but be your absolute wedding hero.
My couples are usually super down to earth and are planning a relaxed fun wedding day surrounded by all those people they love. I love a party! So when it comes to weddings I can’t help but get wrapped up in the magic of your day. Getting so stuck in with your wedding allows me to translate so much more feeling into my photographs. At some point, you’ll want a few awesome photographs of the two of you. These photographs will take minutes and not hours so we can get straight back to the party. Oh and those family formal portraits, don’t worry about them, they’ll be zero hassle.
With my super extraverted personality I’ll be one of the most excited guests from the moment I arrive. It won’t take your wedding party long to assume we are lifelong friends.
