Stoke-on-Trent Registrar Office Wedding

A Small Intimate Wedding at Hanley Town Hall

Cara and Andy got in touch last year to ask me to photograph their small intimate wedding ceremony at Hanley Town Hall Registrar Office in Stoke-on-Trent. I was overjoyed to be involved with this micro wedding day and couldn’t wait to unleash all of my excitement in the short hour and a half which I would be there for.

As I walked up Albion Street into Hanley town centre the sun was setting over the Potteries. Cara and Andy had booked their marriage ceremony for 16:00 which in winter is the exact time the sun sets. I loved the challenge of taking photographs for them with literally zero natural light around.

A registrar office wedding is usually super quick as it’s boiled down to its essential pieces and nothing more. You often arrive together and it’s very unlike a wedding as it’s become to be known but this doesn’t lose it any importance. In fact, it gains uniqueness for its difference. Couples who’re looking for a quick inexpensive way to tie the knot will often choose a registrar office then go out for a meal with their loved ones following the ceremony.

I loved photographing Cara and Andy afterwards outside the proud town hall which was covered in purple up lighters. The building stands strong as an important piece of architecture in Stoke-on-Trent. After being build in 1869 as a hotel it was acquired in 1888 by the County Borough of Hanley. Soon after it’s inception the Victoria Hall was built behind hit and now both are important features in this Stoke-on-Trent city centre.

Micro Wedding at the Registrar Office

Being just 10 minutes from Hanley Town Centre means I’m ideally located to photograph a micro wedding at Stoke-on-Trent Registrar Office. Cara & Andy’s small intimate service was the first I captured here and I loved it.

My style of wedding photography is built on a great relationship with my couples. All of my weddings are different and unique; even small ones like those which often happen at Stoke-on-Trent Registrar Office. Time on your wedding day is really important to me as I’m sure it is to you too? So if I can help it I don’t really want you to miss a thing and would love you to remember as much as possible. This caring and relaxed approach to my wedding photography is the reason why so many couples recommend me. They always say it feels like a friend is taking their photographs and not a photographer.
