A Wedding at Telford Madeley Court | Sam & James

Warm Easter Wedding at Telford Madeley Court

Sam & James got in touch almost 2 years ago to look for their wedding photographer for their Telford Madeley Court wedding. They came up to see me and grabbed a coffee to chat all about their day. With two boys it really was going to be a family wedding first.
On the day I’ve never seen anyone so calm and collected as Sam. I was convinced she was actually nervous and just had the worlds best poker face. It would appear though she was actually incredibly sure of what she was about to commit to James which was a beautiful realisation.

Their day unfolded in some unusual Easter heat wave and we had a pile of fun using all the outside space Telford Madeley Court had to offer. Many years ago if the weather was fair I’d always be outside. Ever since last night though I’ve gained a grand interest for using the small available light indoors to create something a bit more close and personal. Sam & James had great faith in my work even when I was stood 8 foot in the air playing with a chandeliers refraction of light.

Later on all the children started their own wedding fun with football and general exploration and adventure of the Telford Madeley Court grounds. I love photographing children on wedding days. They have their own ideas and just have such an awesome time.

We ended the night by recruiting a few merry guests to carry Sam & James’ homemade LOVE letters outside and in front of the Gate House which one of the more striking buildings at Telford Madeley Court. I then played around with light until we unleashed the final creation of the night.
