Manor House, Alsager Wedding Photography | Laura & Nathan

A Refurbished Manor House Wedding

Laura & Nathan got in touch at the end of last year to see if I was keen to photograph their small Manor House wedding. They weren’t interested in having a huge service and instead just wanted those nearest and dearest to them there for that then later on the rest of their friends and family could join them for a big party.

Unfortunately the party side of things fell a bit short with all of the strange guidelines around dancing but Laura and Nathan still had the most incredible day and for me it was so great to head back to the Manor House and actually meet Jess one of the owners this time. It’s been such a long time since I was at this super local venue and to see they’ve lifted their venue well and truly into the modern day with a beautiful refurb was so great. i can’t wait to start getting a few more days here, it’s just so pretty.

A Summer Wedding at Manor House

I loved being a part of Laura & Nathan’s wedding day at Manor House and would relish the chance to do it again.

My style of wedding photography is strongly built on my incredible extraverted personality and using this to build an incredible relationship with every single one of my couples. All of my couples are different and unique so in turn, so are their weddings and the photographs always lean on their personalities to make them completely different. This is even the case if I was to shoot again at Manor House again. For me and my couples time is everything on their wedding day, you want to spend it with your friends and family and not on a massive photo shoot in a field. So if I can help it I don’t really want you to miss a thing and would love you to remember as much as possible. This caring and relaxed approach to my wedding photography is the reason why so many couples recommend me. They always say it feels like a friend is taking their photographs and not a photographer.

Planning your special day at Manor House?

Manor House is such a beautiful place which I loved photographing. I would love to return so why not give me a shout if you’re planning your own Manor House wedding?

SHOUT!

A Little History From This Staffordshire Venue

Situated on the outskirts of the small village of Alsager within the Staffordshire countryside The Manor House has been offering a peaceful place to unwind for so many years. Privately owned by brother and sister Jack & Jess you know you’re in for a really great tailored experience and not just a franchised expectation. This duo has owned the hotel since 2013 so they’ve had their fair share of experiences and really grown to understand their guests.

Like most Staffordshire wedding venues The Manor House had it’s humble beginnings many hundreds of years ago. Originally a farmhouse, it dates back to the 17th century. Over the years though it’s faced many extensions and annexe’s to build it into what you see today.

Due to its incredible location, you’re literally only miles away from some of Staffordshire and Cheshire’s most cherished tourist spots including the spectacular National Trust owned Biddulph Grange. Or maybe you fancy the Rode Hall Farmers Market experience which is hosted on the first Saturday of every month. With you being so close to the Potteries though it’s always good to embrace the local culture and dive headfirst into the clay at the world-renowned Emma Bridgewater or Middleport Pottery. The things to do around The Manor House really is an endless list of options.

A Manor House Wedding Day

With 58 newly refurbished bedrooms for all of your guests, no one has to find alternative accommodation when it comes to your wedding night. Also, if you really want to indulge then you can stay over the night before and make use of the onsite restaurant, swimming pool and sauna. Or if fitness is your thing then feel free to be the early bird and attend one of the sessions the hotel puts on.

When it comes to tying the knot at The Manor House the Alsager Suite and the Stables restaurant are both licensed for civil ceremonies. If you happen to be lucky enough to have some gorgeous Staffordshire sun on your wedding day then you can take advantage of the stunning courtyard which can fit up to 70 guests around a bubbling stone fountain and scented borders whilst you make it all official with the registrars.

When it comes to your wedding breakfast at the Manor House you’ll be in safe hands as the team describe themselves as “self-confessed foodies”. They believe in the value of locally sourced produce for their on-site restaurant, Stables, which serves privately whilst also serving their weddings and events. Once again you can choose to share your meal within Stables or the Alsager Suite depending on the size of your wedding part.

Photographing During The Summer

The beauty of Stoke-on-Trent and Alsager even more so is you’re never too far away from the countryside. Surrounding the whole of the rear of The Manor House are beautiful rolling farmers fields and woodland with gorgeous foliage which makes the most stunning backdrop to natural wedding portraits.

I really love being a Manor House wedding photographer purely because of how easy their wedding days are. The whole team at this Alsager hotel know just how to make a day special and keep it flowing quickly with a great tempo. I always love returning and can’t wait for my next wedding there!
