Wychwood Park is a private gated community which sits within the county of Cheshire. With a relatively small housing complex towards the rear which boasts mostly detached 5+ bedroom homes for the local wealthy looking to relax amongst the countryside whilst feeling secure in the complex. It’s also rumoured to be home to many a Premier League footballer it’s apparently not uncommon to share the golf green with some celebrity names.
Boasting it’s own separate club house which serves their Championship PGA European Tour standard 18 hole golf course. The golf course alongside the hotel is a strong attraction for those looking for a challenging game and a place to stay.
Wychwood Park was acquired in 2017 by the Mokan Group who’re a company of three Bahrainian investors. This acquisition was part of an expansion of their hotel empire which saw them also acquire Crabwell Hotel & Spa during a similar time. The day to day management of the hotel was then handed over to Legacy Hotels & Resorts. Following this acquisition and the implementation of Legacy the hotel saw a £3 million renovation and refurbishment process in 2019 to bring more warmth to the hotel. Specifically designed to bring luxury in and making the whole hotel feel less corporate and clinical. Their aim is to target their venue to those still of the business persuasion but those also looking for a more leisure orientated stay.

With most of the local wedding venues being either country barns or stately homes Wychwood really stands proud from the pack here. With an incredible in-house events team will take of all your wedding worries to deliver you the most magical of special days.
Your day at Wychwood can be one of two as this venue boasts 2 wedding venues on 1 site. You can either choose the Wychwood Suite which is situated at the Clubhouse just a short walk away from the hotel or you can stay put at the hotel and use the Cheshire Suite.
The updated modern furnishings within the hotel will really bring a luxurious backdrop to your wedding mornings and allow you to relax in style before the big moment happens.
When it comes to choosing your service location you can have a traditional Christian ceremony in one of the nearby churches in Crewe or marry indoors in the dedicated ceremony space in either the Wychwood or the Cheshire Suite depending on which space you’ve chosen for the rest of your day. During the warmer months you can take advantage of the beautiful outdoor ceremony space if you choose to have your day within the Cheshire Suite in the main hotel. For any civil ceremonies you’ll have the beautiful Your Ceremony team joining you as some of the best registrars in the country.
Wedding days for up to 160 guests can be hosted at Wychwood with evening celebrations reaching even loftier amounts. Saying this you can host smaller more intimate weddings at Wychwood and with their range of function rooms you’ll certainly be able to find a perfect space for you and your guest list.

The hotel boasts 113 bedrooms and offers a bed and breakfast package so no matter the amount of guests you invite, it’s very unlikely any of them will have to stay elsewhere.
Photographing Amongst Rolling Cheshire Parkland
As you enter the large modern airy reception it is littered with natural light shining it’s way through and this is a characteristic which only continues throughout the hotel giving you beautifully lit photographs throughout your day.
With it’s sweeping driveway, gleaming water fountains and panoramic countryside views there’s no place you can turn at Wychwood which wouldn’t make the most beautiful backdrop for your wedding. It’s diverse parkland is stunning to photograph amongst and you can really create some different photographs amongst it shooting wide open at 24mm and not getting a single other soul in frame.
When it comes to taking your couple portraits you can either wander the immediate beautiful grounds together or explore the outer sections via a golf buggy which Wychwood lay on for you to use. It’s always a bit of fun zooming round on a golf buggy and really allows your photographs not to cut into your precious time on your big day.
Being a Wychwood Park wedding photographer is such a joyful day. With it’s modern bright and airy decor I don’t have to worry as much about the lighting as I would if I was photographing within a dark barn. With this in mind I can really focus on capturing the joyous moments which unfold in all of their glory.
