A Wedding at Netley Hall | Victoria & Neil

Victoria & Neil got in touch in 2017 looking for someone to photograph their Netley Hall Estate wedding in August 2018. Netley Hall is an 18th century mansion set on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. Family ran with an extensive estate to get the most unique wedding photographs from. It really is an impressive estate and I couldn’t quite believe the vastness of the place. Myself, Victoria & Neil really did have our pick of the bunch when it came to taking some memorable couple portraits around the Hall and gardens. Being family ran this venue has a special charm to it which is unlike no other.Upon first meeting

Victoria & Neil it was clear we got on like a house on fire. They’re both very down to earth and just wanted a lovely day with the close family and friends. This suited my style and my approach perfectly. Plus they also love the tv show friends which I am some what of an expert on the topic. I can remember meeting Victoria and Neil not long before their Netley Hall wedding to discuss all the details. Victoria, and she won’t mind me telling you this, was having a last minute panic. These last meetings are absolutely fantastic. Although they take up a lot of my time to do them face to face, (where possible) I always see a strong positive to it which outweighs the small negative. Once finished at the meeting we’d spoke about everything and brought a little bit more calm back to the day. It’s easy to feel swamped by the planning of a wedding and I’m definitely here to shoulder some of the burden or to right untruths which you may be thinking about. This great relationship which we had only made things so much more easier on the day. I could then easily tell when they were both not feeling a certain moment so we’d move on a capture something else around the estate.

Victoria and Neil both had secrets from each other which added a little extra spice to the day. Neil who is rather reserved always said he’d not be doing a speech as it was a little daunting when in truth he’d planned a killer speech to surprise everyone. Victoria did a flash mob wedding dance with her dad which gained so many laughs and produced so many awesome photographs. I have to admit though whilst someones pumping out Michael Jackson crouch grabs amongst many routines it’s a little taxing to keep up! None the less I was able to capture some awesome photographs for the couple.

I had such an incredible day and it wouldn’t of been the same without such an awesome couple, great guests and the awesome staff at the Netley Hall Estate.

My First Wedding at Netley Hall

Living just under an hour away from Netley Hall this was actually my first time photographing at this beautiful Shropshire wedding venue. I love country house weddings, they have a lovely charm to them. I often venture further afield to photograph weddings and I don’t charge for the pleasure. I find it incredibly exciting actually and really relish the opportunity to shoot within a new space and a new wedding adventure.

My style of wedding photography is built on a great relationship with my couples. All of my weddings are different and unique; even if I was to shoot again at the same venue like Netley Hall. Time on your wedding day is really important to me as I’m sure it is to you too. So if I can help it I don’t really want you to miss a thing and would love you to remember as much as possible. This caring and relaxed approach to my wedding photography is the reason why so many couples recommend me. They always say it feels like a friend is taking their photographs and not a photographer.
